Process for Change/ Update Address and Other Details

  • This application form must be completed to be the initial applicant. Include proof of an address change, or other information.
  • If the applicants don't have proof of a change of address, they may submit the forms to the following individuals
    • Gazetted Officer - Group A
    • Village Panchayat Head, or Mukhiya
    • Gazetted Officer - Group B
    • MP/ MLA/ MLC/ Muncipal Councilor
    • Tehsildar
    • Head of Recognized Education Institution
    • Superintendent/ Warden/ Matron/ Head Institution
    • Recognized shelter houses/ Orphanages
    • Officer EPFO
  • Then you should visit the nearest Aadhaar Center along with this form to apply for to change your address, or apply online for such Address change within the Aadhaar Number by following this address change link

UIDAI allows holders of Aadhaar cardsto change their address with no need for documents. Aadhaar cardholders have the right to change their address, if they have not provided evidence of their identity.

New Delhi: The Unique Identification Authority of India has temporarily stopped a crucial facility which allows you to alter your Aadhaar card's address, without proof of address.

UIDAI permits users of Aadhaar cards to change their address with no need for documentation. Aadhaar cardholders are able to change their address, as long as they accept the authenticity by the verifier of their address. An address verifier can be a family member, friend or landlord who allows the Aadhaar card owner to utilize their address for proof.

UIDAI has stopped using this facility. UIDAI provided a response to an Card user by tweeting the ability to update address on Aadhaar Card via an Address Validation letter was removed. UIDAI has asked for the Aadhaar issuer to notify the user that they have the option to update their address by using another accepted PoA document.

UIDAI provides the following documents listed as POA documents (Proof Of Address) documents that contain the name and address for Aadhaar cards

Passport

Statement/Passbook for Post Office Accounts

Driving licence

Water Bill (not older that 3 months)

Telephone Landline Bill (not older than 3 months)

Notes from Credit Cards (not more than 3 years old).

Signature letter and photo from an authorized company on letterhead

Pensioner Card

Freedom Fighter Card

Kissan Passbook

Passport of Spouse

Documents of their parents (in cases of children)

Central/ State Govt. The government issued an allotment request for accommodation. (Not more than 3 years)

Bhamashah cards/Jan Aadhaar cards issued Governmentt. Rajasthan

Certificate issued by the Superintendentor WardenMatron/ Head Of Institution of recognized shelter homes orphanages, etc. on UIDAI standard certificate format for enrolment/ update
