HSC full form will be the higher secondary Certificate body in India. There are currently 52 boards sanctioned by India that serve 30 states. For instance, West Bengal is home to six distinct types of boards. They include boards like the Board of Primary Education, Board of Secondary education, the board of Madrasah education, Council of Rabindra open schooling , as well as the state council of vocational education and the Council of Higher Secondary Education.

Overview of HSC Boards and Exam Pattern

Subjects Covered in Higher Secondary Exams

India

In India HSC/Intermediate is known as the 12th grade (also also known as +2) exam that is held at the state level through educational boards at the state level such as (Maharashtra board, MP board, Odia board, MP board Odia Bihar board, among others) in addition to on a national scale, that is the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE), Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education, Sikkim (BOSSE) and National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS). CBSE offers this exam every year. NIOS offers it twice per year, during public exams. There is also the option of on-demand examinations. The other exam is the 10th class exam is also administered at the state board level by State boards that are responsible for education as well as at the an international level, by the Central Board of Secondary Education and in India this exam is referred to as SSC exam. There are total 6 topics within the HSC exam that are distinct to any State Board but common in cases like that of Central Board of Secondary Education

Pakistan

The Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) which is also known as Intermediate, is a public examination taken by the students of the Higher Secondary schools or the Intermediate College (Junior college) in Pakistan. When they have completed Matriculation Grades 9 and 10, the students then enter into intermediate college and complete their grade eleven and twelve. When they have completed each of the two years, they are required to pass standardized tests for subject areas they're studying. These tests are conducted in the provincial schools on a provincial scale, and by FBISE in the Federal level. After passing the tests, students are granted an Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC). This stage of instruction is also referred to as FSc/FA/ICS. There are several tracks that students can pick for their 11th or 12th grades, which include pre-medical engineering and humanities (or social science) and commerce and computer science. Each stream is comprised of three electives in addition to three mandatory subjects such as English, Urdu, Islamiyat (grade 11 only) and Pakistan Studies (grade 12 only).

Nepal

National Examination Board (Nepal) is the body responsible for the management of all examinations for senior schools. This includes the 11th-12th grades Higher Secondary examinations (10+2), 11th and 12th grade SEE Exam, and the 8th grade District Level Examination. Once a student has passed the Higher Secondary Exams students will be qualified to attend the university.

Aside from National higher secondary exams, Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) GCE Advanced Level qualifications (known as A-level) is also offered by a handful of the private, public as well as foreign school. The level is considered to be equivalent to National secondary school (10+2) examination.
